Loading ...The Bnei Yisschar writes that the words עצם בשר, bone and flesh, have the same numerical value as שבת, Shabbos (702). This is to hint that when one is united with their wife, who is the bone and flesh that was removed from him, he has achieved harmony. just as Shabbos is the harmonious and beautiful day of the week, so too is marriage. Shabbos gives focus and perspective to our lives, so too a Jewish wedding brings much success and growth to the Chasson and Kallah and their great family that they will build together b’Ezras Hashem.
